| So I think my dog got bit by a snake today. He started yelping, and then he was staggering while he was walking, and he seemed to be a little disoriented. I'm hoping that he is going to be alright, I have had him since he was a puppy, and that was about 14 years ago. I don't really know what I would do if he wasn't around, it would be really weird. I have been smelling bananas for the past hour and a half or so, which is totally weird. I have no idea where it is coming from. I hung out at church most of the day, got some stuff accomplished, Go Me! I am helping out with VBS this summer, and thought I would go ahead and get a start on decorations, since I have a feeling I will be doing a lot of the decorating. I like to paint, and a good day is when I get to put my hands/feet in paint, That is always so much fun! Jenn may be going to the church tomorrow to help out her mom. So I will probably get to see her! That will be awesome, hanging out at church goofing off, just like the old days, haha Wow, I think my hair just turned gray, and did I imagine it, or did my chair start to rock a little? hmm, oh well! | 1 Timothy 4:1212 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.I've known about this verse for a while, and everytime I run across it, I am like, That is an amazing verse. Well this weekend was no exception. At our Lay Renewal, a sophmore in high school got up to share his Testimony, and he finished with a this verse as a thought for our youth. As I got to thinking about it, and the words, I think I may have realized something. I believe this verse is saying that even though we may be young, we shouldn't wait for the elders to set the examples. We should take responsiblity, and possibly be an example to them. Think about it, if the elders in your church aren't stepping up to the responisibility of setting good Christian examples, do it yourself. When Jesus was a young kid 12 or 13, he sat and taught the elders in the temple! I know, I know, that was Jesus, God of the Universe, of course He could teach old people, but Christian means "Christ-Like" So this is one awesome way we can mimick Jesus. Teach the older people if they aren't making it their job to teach you. Jesus also flipped over some temple tables, that were being used for inappropriate actions. Just a few thoughts. | 1. I Want To Go On A Stake-Out -- How Awesome would that be?? I mean think about it, Sitting in a dark room drinking coffee, and spying on someone with binoculars! Just thinking about it makes me want to get up and find someone to spy on. Which also reminds me, Stake-Out is very close to Stalker, so Be Careful! 2. I Want To Roller Blade Behind A Motorcyle -- I saw a guy doing this on campus a few weeks ago, only he was on a skateboard. But you know, its the same basic principle. I probably won't do this because I don't like pain, and it seems there could be a lot involved with that! 3. I Want To See If I Can Trust Someone As Far As I Can Throw Them -- How are we ever going to know exactly how much we can trust someone if we don't put our muscles where out mouths are!?! This would help in two ways. 1. It's probably a good work out. 2. You will know who to trust the most. 4. I Want To Play In The Rain -- Whatever happened to the days when we just played in the rain, like at camp, when it would start to storm, and just having a massive mud fight. We should get together and do that sometime, Whos with me?? 5. I Want To Be A Door-To-Door Salesman -- How cool would that be, Just driving around all day listening to music in your car and occasionally getting out to sell tupper ware, or vacuums to older ladies! That would be really nifty! 6. I Want To Fall Down A Flight Of Stairs And Not Get Hurt -- You know, like they do in the movies, they just fall down, and jump up and they are all fine and ready to go and do whatever. I Wanna Do That!! 7. I Want To Find Out What The Next Year It Is That We Are Supposed To Party Too -- You know like "Party like its 1999" What is the year we are supposed to party like? And will we know how to make our party like that year?? 8. I Want To Run With Scissors -- Seriously, when do we get old enough that, that rule shouldn't apply to us anymore. The other day my mom needed some scissors, and she asked me to get them, So on my way back I hear her yell "Don't Run With Those!" Is there an age limit? Am I past it? 9. I Want To Fall Up -- There has got to be some way to do that. I mean with all over our modern marvels in science and technology, someone should be able to help me fall up, not just the stairs but anything, a hill, the gutter, a ladder! 10. I Want To Have The Faith Of A Mustard Seed -- I want to tell a mountain to move, and truly and honestly believe in my heart that, that mountain is going to move out of my way. I want to really grow in my faith so that I never doubt the works that God can and will do when He is called upon. I don't want to be "ye of little faith" I really want the faith of a child! | | |
| So a couple of months ago, My preacher brings in this guy, and he is telling us all about this church revival type weekend called, Lay Renewal Weekend. So I sit back and try not to fall asleep during the presentation, cause frankly, it seems like a BORE!!!!!  I know, I know, I am the Associate Youth Minister, and I should be setting a better example for my youth, but you should have heard this presentation! Crazyness! Anyway . . . Fast forward a couple of months, too this past weekend. The team that is going to lead the weekend arrives. The weekend started out with a church-wide dinner. Which in Baptist, means, a great start! Still think we should just have big church in the kitchen, but thats a whole other blog. So I get in line to get food, and I walk past the main couple that will be helping out with the youth that weekend. My first thought was "Oh Man, They are an older couple!" After eating we all settle into the Sanctuary and we begin the first meeting, which is mostly to get everyone acquainted, and to break up into the groups we will stay in throughout the weekend. About 30 mins. later, we are heading upstairs with virtual strangers. This started the first session of the most fun church "revival" I have ever been too in my entire life! I wont go into all that happened, but this weekend Blessed me so much! I got to participate in the activites with the youth, and also watch them work together as a team, and I believe they grew a little closer this weekend! God is Great!! He took all my doubts, and all the dread that I had, and tossed it out, and told me I had no room for that junk. It was the best weekend ever. I cannot wait to go to camp with these kids, they are soo amazing! Well, I hope that everyone is having an amazing "Zombie Jesus" week, Stay safe, and keep God close! ~In Him~ Tiffany | | |
| What Is Up?
I am a huge procrastinator!!!!
I really should be like packing and stuff,
But I have decided that upating this is waaaay more important, haha.
 
I will end up waiting until my mom comes with my dads truck and just throwing everything in it. That, I have decided, will be my version of packing! Works for me!
Anyway. . . . .
Nothing much else is going on, I am still trying to learn this new site. It is driving me nuts to no end. I have uploaded some pics of myself and some friends, but who knows if you guys will be able to see them!
I have Facebook, and Myspace as well. I will post links to those later, if anyone is interested or already has those sites, They are pretty awesome as well.
Sorry if some of my entry takes some of the shape of Gens, But I have been updating Xanga with her for the past couple of days, and yea, it's rubbing off on me, lol 
So Yea, I am a little tired maybe. I think I am going to try and catch some shut eye for now! But I hope that everyone has a great night, and doesn't get into tooo much trouble!
